On Wednesday Afternoon, 3 July 2024, the Trust Regulator (TR) organized a Panel Discussion: “Potential of Trust Mechanisms and Recent Economic and Technological Trends” at the Business Development Center Building. The panel discussion was attended by keynote speakers who are experts in the fields of trust, real estate, banking, business and law, including H.E. SOK Dara, Director General of the Trust Regulator, H.E. SAN Sorphorn, Undersecretary of State, Ministry of Justice, H.E. CHOU Vannak, Director General of the Real Estate Business and Pawnshop Regulator, Dr. IN Channy, President & Group Managing Director of ACLEDA Bank Plc, Mr. Bun Yin, CEO of CIMB Bank PLC and Mr. HOR Serey Vath, Chairman of Board of Innovation and Development Investors Association & ID Capital Plc. In this discussion, the keynote speakers shared the potential of the trust mechanism, the experience, measures and action plans ahead in the real estate sector and the strength of banking sector in Cambodia and involvement of the trust sector in the banking sector, the development of technology, legal framework and relevant regulations as well as investment challenges and solutions.
