On the morning of Friday, 10 January 2025, the Trust Regulator (TR) organized an achievements workshop titled "Trust Market in 2024 and Work Direction." The event was presided over by H.E. SOK Dara, Director General of the TR. The workshop highlighted the rapid growth in the trust market, with 1,114 trusts having been established and registered, accounting for approximately USD 1.741 billion across Commercial Trusts, Public Trusts, Financial Trusts, Social Trusts, and Personal Trusts. The number of operators in the trust market has also significantly increased, including 13 trustee companies and 25 commercial banks providing retention or escrow services. Additionally, there are 65 licensed individual trustees, 16 valuation companies, and 15 auditing firms accredited by the Trust Regulator. The workshop was attended by senior experts and trust operators who actively discussed the challenges in implementation and set the direction for the 2025 work plan. This includes continuing to promote the development of existing trust markets and products, enhancing training, workshops, and public awareness, developing new trust markets and products such as Family Trusts and Environmental Trusts, and exploring opportunities from new technologies and innovations for market management and operations.
